Thanks a lot, Glen!  After investigating the issue on the web for a day, I
finally found a solution (in the MySQL online documentation) by putting a
symlink to the libmysqlclient.so.10 file into /usr/lib, but your solution is
better.  Sheesh, I like linux, but there are times when it can be very
difficult to solve esoteric configuration issues.  Then again, this may be a
very easy-to-solve issue for many out there.
