Thanks very much!  This seems to have fixed a problem I was having as well.

I can't seem to find that new package.  I can't get to alpha.gnu.org, and 
I'm on a solaris box, so I wouldn't be able to deal with the dpkg.  Do you 
have a link to a .tar.gz you could post?
