Well this is a matter of interpretation - I think
I can sort of guess your algorithm but tend to   

> pigeon% ruby -e 'a=[1]; a << a; b = [1] ; b << b; p b - a '
> [[1, [...]]]

believe that this should be [] - (input welcome on the matter)
