I had figured out the ObjectSpace approach on the way to bed, and it seemed likely to be too costly for what I was doing, though a good thing to know. Even as a Smalltalker -- where I _would_ add the capability if it didn't already exist -- I'm not used to extending the base classes from my code in Ruby. It doesn't feel like something a file-based language can do. I'll examine that short-sightedness in my copious free time ... If I do put inherited(by) into TestCase, won't I need to do super?
