[ruby-talk:10785] ANN: RubyCHannel with the first online interpreter and tutotrial

I am proud to announce the first online ruby interpreter on RubyCHannel:
  http://www.ruby.ch
Follow the links to http://www.ruby.ch/tutorial or
http://www.ruby.ch/shared/rubytutorial.shtml.

The "pure" interpreter(http://www.ruby.ch/shared/rubytutorial.shtml)
consists of an input (-> enter ruby code here) and an output field. Note:
Only print/p/puts-output is displayed in the result window.

The tutorial is not yet complete. The basis to this tutorial is an xml
file. This file is used to generate the lessonYY.html-files and the
hierarchical java-script-menu. I could make this xml file "open-source"
and let everyone contribute to the tutorial. Anybody?

The rest of the site is not too overwhelming. All I try to do is provide
ruby information which was/is interesting to me (or you?) on this SWISS
portal ;-).

Also, if I find time, I will translate this site to german to attract
even more potential Ruby fans.

I am aware that the site is not yet 100% complete BUT my impatience to
deploy and get feedback from you all conquered me.

I myself use the online interpreter often when trying code from clr
posts. Also, I see a (vague) possibility to extend this interpreter to a
distributed ruby programming workspace ;-) Wouldn't that be fun. There
would be programming/discussion session going on and you could link inot
a session and contribute to the programming going on ( la "pair
programming": now its my turn...gimme the keyboard). Ok, I was
dreaming...

Feedback (of any kind) is very much appreciated.

Clemens (the other, haven't heard of /cl lately. "Clemens, wo bist Du?")
BTW: Thanks to the pargmatic programmers which let me "steal" their logo
;-)
