I applied the patch and tried again. In fact I did several tests. One of
which was to go back to 1.6.2 ruby. The (mis-)behavior of rwiki (druby)
remains the same. 1) I start rwiki (deamon).
  cd ~rwiki-1.1;ruby -I./lib rwiki.rb
2) Then I let rw-drb.rb run (as suggested by Hiroshi).
  cd ~rwiki-1.1;ruby -I./lib rw-drb.rb top
After 5 minutes (no joke!) I get to see:
  ["search", "top"]
After another approx. 5 minutes:
 "search"
again 5 minutes later:
  "top"
and after (as you might guess ;-)) yet another 5 minutes:
  true
According to Hiroshi this outputs should appear immediately after
starting the rw-drb.rb script.

Could it be a Linux related BUG?
Any hints, suggestions on how to get to the source of this problem?

Regards Clemens
