Subject: [ruby-talk:11188] better "gets"?

Hi,

I am a Ruby newbie and would like to know if there is a way to get user input 
in Ruby in such a way that backspace would delete the last typed character. I 
know that "gets" in C or Ruby doesn't let you do that, but I miss that 
functionality from Basic's "input" function.
