I have to agree with Ben,

It's not like any of us are going to drop what we are doing and go Ruby 
Co. full time?  Hopefully 2 years from now when Ruby is really big and 
Matz gets paid lots of money to write Ruby books, and RubyConf has an 
attendance of 32,000  people we might find that it can make a few bucks.

IMHO I think the concept of "packaged" Ruby editions is important and if 
people want to attempt a small organization to promote this I think its 
an excellent cause. It's not about competing, its about getting 
something good out there in a way people can use.

The only reason it would fail is if we thought we could get rich off of 
it tomorrow.
