In fact, if we're going to do this, it would be a good idea to
abstract out the behavior that tracks method addition and removal,
mixing in, subclassing and so on. This kind of thing pops up in many
different dynamic situations, and it would be nice to have a module
that implements the behavior, rather than have every library that
needs it implement it from scratch.
