Subject: [ruby-talk:14937] Dir#read behavior after nil is returned

Can anyone tell me if there is a defined behavior of Dir.read after it has 
already returned nil?

Example Code:

d = Dir.new("\\")
while x = d.read 
  puts x 
end
d.read

What does the last line do on *NIX?  On my W2K box I get (Errno::EBADF).
