Asad It's not that everybody wants java, it's simply that these corporations now "have" java infrastructure. A middle manager faces far less red-tape when deciding to do new development in java than in some less widely deployed language - java has been made a corporate standard for deployment, and big corps feel secure that a project developed in java will be maintainable because of the critical mass of industry resources and developers dedicated to it. Some advice for you, Bashar, why not take a good java job, especially if you can find one in an XP shop? I would bet you would be able to use Ruby as a prototyping tool. You might even be able to make yourself into the prototyping expert of your shop and primarily work with more cutting edge tools in that role. Plus you'll get paid well, and coding in java is still a creative effort that will develop your skills. Wayne
