Hi Can I derive Classes from Classes defined in a c-extension of ruby (such as the mysql - library)? I tried it, and it works, but it seems I cannot overload the initialize funktion (aka the constructor) require "mysql.o" class DbConnection < Mysql def initialize(host, db, user, pass) print "In Constructor\n" super(host, user, pass,db) end end con = DbConnection.new("localhost","rubytest","root", "") this _does_ _not_ print "In Constructor". What am I doing wrong? greetings, Florian Pflug
