Personally, I'd like to have something like "IBM VisualAge for Ruby".

I'd prefer to see a really good repository/object based development
environment, even if that meant making it platform dependent.  I'd 
much rather have a really solid, professional tool on one workstation
platform than one which works poorly on all platforms.
