Subject: [ruby-talk:6348] interpreter does nothing in interactive mode



I cant get a proper install on RedHat-7.0. Make
test is successful but ruby isnt echoing anything
when used interactively. For example:

ruby
[block cursor here]
1+1
[block cursor here]
print "hello\n"
[block cursor here]
Anyone home?
[block cursor here]

Has anyone else run into this problem and, if so,
have they solved it?
