Mark,

I've seen this also I think it has something to do with uneven numbers of
forward slashes in regexeps ie: "/\//" being the smallest example of this.
However I'm "between boxes" and don't have Ruby nor Ruby mode at this very
moment.

I think writing a runby version of indent or extending indent to understand
ruby is a very good idea.
