And then we have Python people (like me, say) who would like to pick up
Ruby -- always nice to have more than one tool on the belt -- but find
people who make the comments like the "ostrich" one sufficiently obnoxious
that we start to look elsewhere.

Thankfully, we also have people like "Matz" here who seem to be nice people
(if a tad condescending) who draw we potential converts back into taking
another look at Ruby.

Quick lesson "tony summerfelt": don't generalize about Python people. 
Because trust me, generalizations of Ruby people, from what I've seen in
this newsgroup, would be decidedly unfriendly.
