Have you considered reading the comp.lang.ruby newsgroup with a
newsreader which supports scoring and threading, so that you can
follow just the technical discussions and not even download the others
if you don't wish to?  (I'm assuming all items from the list appear in
the group and vice-versa.)

Interesting, is this a thread about which you would be complaining?  ;-)
