Good point, at least for the great majority of users.

However, for people that want to compile (perhaps as a sanity check prior to
dealing with extensions, or perhaps because they want to set alternative
configure options), this information should still be useful to have easy
access to. Plus this might also help expand the pool of future prospects for
supporting pre-built distributions, messing with .Net stuff, and so on.
