|I've seen a couple of web pages (e.g.
|http://www-4.ibm.com/software/developer/library/ruby.html) mentioning
|Ruby for Mac. Do they really mean Mac OS 9 or earlier, or do they mean
|Mac OS X (BSD Unix)? I've just compiled it on Mac OS X Server, which was
|rather easy, but I also would like to be able to run it on today's
|standard Mac OS, which is not based on Unix.

Ruby 1.1c9 was ported to Mac. But Mac port was not maintained since
then. So I don't think Mac port is not currently available.
