For me ususually when three things happen:
    1) I have to correct for a condition that I forgot to test for.
    2) There is a lot of code onvolved.
         so I have to change:
                      block
                      of
                      code
                      if second_block:
a nasty suprise in next line
                              opps -suprise changed scope
          to something like
                       if I_am_able_to_process_this_block:
                          block
                          of
                          code
                          if second_block:
a nasty suprise in next line
                          opps -suprise changed scope
     3) I'm in a hurry.
