Hi,

[ruby-talk:03099] ANNOUNCE : bdb

From: ts <decoux@...>
Date: 2000-06-04 13:45:42 UTC
List: ruby-talk #3099
 Documentation : http://moulon.inra.fr/ruby/bdb.html
 Source : ftp://moulon.inra.fr/pub/ruby/bdb-0.1.tar.gz

 This is an interface to Berkeley DB, distributed by Sleepycat
 (http://www.sleepycat.com/)

 This an _alpha_ release (expect bugs :-)) which has been tested only
 with db 2.4.14, 2.7.7, 3.0.55 and 3.1.5

 The current interface give access to :

  * Berkeley DB environnement
  * Access Methods (Btree, Hash, Recno, Queue)
  * Transaction manager
  * Cursor operation
  * Lock system

 Environnements and db file are always open with the flag DB_THREAD. This
mean that you can safely use a transaction in a thread (see examples/txn.rb)

 You have some examples in the directory examples.
