Subject: [ruby-talk:03101] Compile_err


Tried  twice to compile  1.4.4 under Rhat 6.2 .

tar xvfz  the file to /usr/bin/
Did    ./configure
uncommented modules in /ext/Setup
make test failed
make install failed

not much use without the error message, I know but probably wouldn't get far
without some tutorial, find Python difficult enough

Under win2K Tk  couldn't find the tcltklib file not sure why.   put it in
path
Maybe conflicts with tcl under Python ?
