Glad you found this to be worth pointing out, Conrad. I was undecided
whether
to put this material on the mailling list. You decided for me.  :)

To the rest of the Ruby community, I'll just say this in addition.

1. If you find any inaccuracies in what I wrote, please let me know
(technical
inaccuracies, especially, though you can argue with the opinion stuff also).

2. I have to confess that there are three or four things on the list which I
added
just for completeness. For example, I have never used the Ruby debugger.

3. This posting came out a little garbled (at least the version I'm reading
in
MS Outlook Express). So if you want a slightly easier-to-read versio, follow
the
link. You'll at least get some extra boldface, italics, em dashes, and so
on, and
lose the junk characters that Outlook wants to put in.
