Subject: [ruby-talk:4526] rb2c status?


I tried using rb2c with Ruby 1.4.5 but can't get it to work. The rb2c docs
says it has been updated for Ruby 1.4.3 but nothing new since then. I
mailed the author but no answer.

Anyone knows the status of rb2c?
Plans for the future of rb2c? 
Anyone interested in developing/supporting it if the author hasn't got the
time? 
Other plans for Ruby -> native code compilation? Gcc front-end?
