I wish I was there (and spoke japanese too ;-)

I'm not sure if this would be the place, but if I was, I would ask:

1) Since the next preview will be 1.9.2's feature freeze, it should be
worthwhile to make decisions on:

2) Will some libraries be assigned maintainers?

I will repeat that I would really like to maintain lib/matrix. If no
more suitable maintainer can be found, I could maintain any of the
unmaintained lib/net libraries, find.rb, observer.rb, or ostruct.rb.

I wish I knew more about parsing and could tackle yaml and other
parsing libs that are in need of attention.

wouldn't it be a good idea to bundle ffi in core?
