From: Run Paint Run Run Date: 2009-11-09T23:01:21+09:00 Subject: [ruby-core:26649] [Bug #2189] Math.atanh(1) & Math.atanh(-1) should not raise an error Issue #2189 has been updated by Run Paint Run Run. For completeness, I'll note that IEE Std. 754 (2008) recommends (pp. 42-43) that atanh(x) signals a "divideByZero" exception when x == 1; and a "invalid operation" exception when x > 1. Both forms raise the "underflow" flag. Later (pp. 43-45) it is stated that "atanh(1) is and signals the divideByZero exception." ---------------------------------------- http://redmine.ruby-lang.org/issues/show/2189 ---------------------------------------- http://redmine.ruby-lang.org
