Rather than starting a separate mail list, I'd prefer that such announcements go
to comp.lang.ruby (which is mirrored to ruby-lang ML), with an easily recognized
subject prefix format such as "RAA-ANN: <topic>". This makes it easy for people
to either follow or skip such postings. This also makes such postings accessible
to deja.com searches. This also provides the sort of public track record that
will make it easier and less contentious to get a comp.lang.ruby.modules and a
comp.lang.ruby.announce newsgroups approved in the future.
