[ruby-talk:00785] Oracle 8 with ruby....anybody do this yet?

Hi all; (Konichiwa, ogenki deska?)
	I would like to do some testing with ruby and oracle 8 (specifically
8.0.4).  I noted
that in the www.netlab.co.jp/ruby/raa.html web page that there is a
reference to oracle-0.2.5 and a 
document link : www.bekkoame.ne.jp/~yoshidam/oracle.txt that is broken.  I
downloaded the 
ruby code to see if there was some built in documentation with the
README...alas..it is in
Japanese.  Can anybody point me to a different link or provide any
documentation for this 
code? Thanks for your help..

PS..I am evaluating the feasability to convert a large amount of legacy perl
code to a different
scripting language...Presently considering python, ruby and at last resort
tcl/tk.  I need to evaluate
connections to a very large oracle database (>1.2TB).
