Because classes are useful tools to organize things and concepts.
That's why Ruby has class system, despite you can make object system
without classes/modules using singleton methods and clone.

No, you can't.  You're trying to fetch unbound method, which is not
available in Ruby.  The reason is some method implementation strongly
depends on the structure of the receiver (e.g. T_STRING).  Arbitrary
combination of the unbound method and the object may cause serious
crash; on the other hand, adding type check for every receiver should
slow down the interpreter, and be burden for developers, especially me.
