First of all, I think Ruby should include a RDB.

You know Ruby included some databases: dbm, gdbm and sdbm and pstore.
However, there is no RDBs.
RDBs are widely spread and many people use them.
So Ruby should include RDBs if there is a suitable RDB.

I think SQLite is the suitable RDB.
PHP and Python includes it as stdlib.

So I want to bundle SQLite with Ruby.
But sqlite3-ruby is not maintained now.
Amalgalite is too big.
Amalgalite::SQLite has suitable scope but its style is not Ruby way.
(for example the usage of methods with !.)

Anyway as you can find by this late response,
this plan is for 1.9.3.
And other implementation and plan,
or another candidate maintainers are welcome.
