Re: [PATCH] Dir.tmpdir RDoc

Speaking of tmpdir, I'm curious why the tmpdir source
isn't just merged into dir.c directly. I'm actually
curious how I'm able to call Dir.tmpdir without
requiring the tmpdir package directly.

Can anyone enlighten me? Does this happen during the
configure/make processs somehow?

Also, GetSystemWindowsDirectory() is deprecated on
Windows in favor of ShGetFolderPath(). From the MSDN
docs:

"Applications should store code in the Program Files
folder and persistent data in the Application Data
folder in the user's profile."

I'm not really sure why, though, or if it's really
that critical.

Regards,

Dan
