Ruby always followed IEEE754, but did not always print out the right
number of decimals. This is fixed in trunk, see issue #3273.

$ rubydev -e "p 100.0 - 91.6"
8.400000000000006

If you ask C to printout that result with the same number of decimals,
you will get the same answer. As Yui pointed out, if you ask Ruby for
more decimals (although they are beyond the float's resolution), you
will also get the same ones.
