[ruby-core:30416] Deprecation of Config::CONFIG?

From: Luis Lavena <luislavena@...>

List: ruby-core #30416
Hello,

I've been looking across many many projects, and see a tendency:
things like PLATFORM or VERSION present and now deprecated have been
changed, but nothing relevant to rbconfig.

I mean, several projects has been updated to use RUBY_* constants in
1.9.x due the change, but I see several projects still refer to
RbConfig as "Config"

Even no, with 1.9.2, I see this line:

Config = RbConfig # compatibility for ruby-1.8.4 and older.

If I search projects, mostly newer ones, still uses Config::CONFIG,
which, taking in consideration the above comment for the rbconfig.rb,
will be deprecated "sometime".

I believe that has been for quite some time, any idea *when* that is
going to happen?
