Issue #3303 has been updated by Michael Yockey.


Experiencing this problem currently. I'm able to enter the url directly into a web browser and fetch the gem, but attempting to install it via 'gem install' results in this error.

myockey@vmlinux:~$ sudo gem install rails
ERROR:  While executing gem ... (Gem::RemoteFetcher::FetchError)
    too many connection resets (http://production.cf.rubygems.org/gems/rails-2.3.8.gem)
myockey@vmlinux:~$

I'm trying to install 2.3.8 because I'm experiencing segfaults in the rails3 beta server. This error persists after removing all install gems.
