24186 is still too old. You still have to reinstall the Ruby version,
for rvm to update the sources and rebuild:

  $ rvm install 1.9.2-head

or

  $ rvm install --force 1.9.2-head


If you still have a ruby 1.9.2-head version with a revision less than
say, 27902, you should try the rvm mailing
(http://rvm.beginrescueend.com/support/)

Before posting to ruby-core again with the same problem,
try also ruby-head in rvm to see if the problem has been fixed already
and may need backporting.
