[ruby-core:35086] [Ruby 1.9-Bug#4367][Open] Thread.kill segfaults when the object to be killed isn't a thread

From: Andrew Grimm <redmine@...>
Date: 2011-02-04 13:44:17 UTC
List: ruby-core #35086
Bug #4367: Thread.kill segfaults when the object to be killed isn't a thread
http://redmine.ruby-lang.org/issues/show/4367

Author: Andrew Grimm
Status: Open, Priority: Normal
ruby -v: ruby 1.9.3dev (2011-01-29 trunk 30720) [x86_64-darwin10.4.0]

If something other than a thread is supplied to Thread.kill, a segfault occurs. For example, Thread.kill(nil) causes a segfault:

Andrew-Grimms-MacBook-Pro:~ agrimm$ ruby
Thread.kill(nil)
-:1: [BUG] Segmentation fault
ruby 1.9.3dev (2011-01-29 trunk 30720) [x86_64-darwin10.4.0]
