[ruby-core:30879] [Bug #3466] leak when using Rails and Ruby 1.9.2

Issue #3466 has been updated by Matt Aimonetti.

After further tests, the problem seems to be located in the webserver (thin in this case).
Running 100000 requests against a simple rack app served by rack would leak about 10MB on my machine:

require 'rack'
app = proc do |env|
  [200, { "Content-Type" => "text/html" }, ["hello world\n"]]
end
run app

$ thin start -R config.ru
$ ab -n 100000 "http://localhost:3000/"

The reason why I failed to see that the first time I run my benchmark is because I was using RVM and Thin uses two executables, both with a shebang referring the Ruby version to use. Only one of the two shebangs was loading the right version of Ruby, the other was loading 1.8.7 which seems to work properly.
