Issue #3436 has been updated by Mark Somerville.

[ruby-core:30886] [Feature #3479] Array#binary_find et al

From: Roger Pack <redmine@...>
Date: 2010-06-24 22:40:56 UTC
List: ruby-core #30886
Feature #3479: Array#binary_find et al
http://redmine.ruby-lang.org/issues/show/3479

Author: Roger Pack
Status: Open, Priority: Normal

It would be quite handy to have a method for searching through an Array, when sorted, using binary search.
Apparently doing this in C would be ideal [1].
So this is a feature request for the same
Array#binary_index
Array#binary_find (or binary_search, whichever the commiter prefers).

Thanks much.
