Note that Antonio's benchmark compares 64bit IronRuby build against 32bit 1.8.7 MRI and thus favoring MRI.

It's good if the archive works transparently from the current 'feature' system of Ruby I think. Scanning archives and 'require' customization would be enough challenging task.
