[ruby-talk:01163] Pack options

Hi all,

Just a quick question about "pack". In the source, there a couple
of options that aren't in the documentation. Here are my guesses:

M ? Some kind of encoding, uses =\n as delimiter?
        U UTF?
Z ASCII string (like "a", but null-padded on pack, no nulls on unpack)
        e single-precision float, ``VAX'' (little-endian) byte order
        E double-precision float, ``VAX'' (little-endian) byte order
        g single-precision float, ``network'' byte order
        G double-precision float, ``network'' byte order

Can someone enlighten me on the "M" flag? Internally, it uses a
routine called "qpencode" if that rings any bells...
