Thanks. I understand the above, though. I was interested that the
interpreter looped when 'a' is used as a hash key, but:

     a = [1,2,3]
     a[1] = a
     p a
     p a.to_s
     p a.id
  >>
     [1, [...], 3]
     "11[...]33"
