[ruby-core:36090] Fwd: File.write take 4

Could I get any feedback on my latest patch for File.write?
It still merges into trunk fine, and passes the various unit tests associated.
I'd like to at least get some feedback on it.

As a note (since I think redmine is bouncing my updates to
ruby-core--see previous email about that),

I have added an updated patch (the old one no longer merged cleanly,
plus had a minor bug). Feel free to reformat it or convert to C.

The syntax is the same as the previous patch, basically:

File::write(path, string, offset, opt={})
or
File::write(path, string, opt={})
