From: Xavier Shay Date: 2011-05-25T18:49:06+09:00 Subject: [ruby-core:36454] configure is generating broken Makefiles Hello I have an issue which is perplexing me. ext/-test-/string/extconf.rb contains this line: $defs << "-DTEST_INIT_FUNCS(X)=\"#{inits.join(' ')}\"" however after running make ext/-test-/string/Makefile *does not* contain -DTEST_INIT_FUNCS Why not? On my fork [1] this line *is* appearing in the Makefile, which is then breaking because the parenthesis need to be escaped. I have identified the commit that broke this [2], but I cannot see how it could be related. Possibly related, I also need to explictly set top_srcdir [3] otherwise a number of projects in ext fail to compile (such as ./ext/-test-/funcall/) because top_srcdir is otherwise blank and causes invalid paths. This is a problem because I can't install my fork with rvm until I figure this issue out, meaning I can't easily get others to test out the new require performance fixes. Any assistance gratefully appreciated.
