I think the opinion being expressed was that for a given file type,
EITHER we should use spaces, OR we should use tabs.

While I personally prefer spaces for all the usual reasons, I don't
object to tabs. What I find annoying is a random mix of the two.

I think the choice should be enforced too. If it were up to me I'd
write a unit test to scan the files for mixed space/tab indentation
and fail if it finds any.
