It works with anything that is Comparable, to be precise.

I am not too keen on adding a method to Object that is
completely dependent on something outside of the object,
but I suppose we can be of many minds about that. For my
part, perhaps doing something similar to #between? would
be more appropriate; a module called Collectible (or some-
thing) that could be included to gain access to methods
useful for objects that are intended to be collected in,
for example, Arrays.

Of course it would probably be better if there were other
methods in the module, too.
