Querying private singleton methods

Hi,

currently there's only one way to ask for an object's singleton methods: 
Object#singleton_methods. Just like the related Object#methods and 
Module#instance_methods, it returns only public and protected, but no 
private methods. Unfortunately, for singleton methods there is nothing 
like Object#private_methods or Module#private_instance_methods. So 
there's no way to ask about private singleton methods.

Is there a chance to get Object#private_singleton_methods (same for 
public and protected) in a future version of Ruby?


Another solution to my problem would be to change

   class << obj; self; end.instance_methods( false )

to return

   obj.singleton_methods( false )

and not

   obj.class.instance_methods( false )

as it is today. (Again the same for public/protected/private.) But since 
I know Matz's reluctance to explicit singleton classes, I doubt he'll 
like this second solution.


BTW, speaking of singleton classes, what happened to [ruby-core:4870], 
where I asked for a change to enable Module#method_added in singleton 
classes?
