Subject: Bogus age value from Etc

Hi all,

Ruby 1.8.2
Solaris 10

It looks like the "age" passwd value returned by Etc is bogus.

irb(main):001:0> require "etc"
=> true
irb(main):002:0> Etc.getpwnam(Etc.getlogin).age
=> 4100981

DDD shows me that the pw_age struct member is an empty string when I run 
a sample program.  Should it simply be set to nil in this case?

PS - I realize that the pw_age value is not used on most (all?) systems, 
so this is a very minor issue.  I'm also curious as to why it was 
declared as a char*.
