Sorry to reply to myself...I hit return too fast:

We could build a project 'ruby' which would hold file releases (instead of
rubymirror) and the tracker can be used there for bugs, etc.  Again...that
will not effect our bandwidth, and I agree with Matz, they they should
maintain the source where it is.
