Unfortunately for my girlfriend, I actually *understand* about 80% of
her French, even when she speaks quickly. I can't speak it worth a
darn, but I can understand it.

-austin, understands about 25% of her German -- but then again, her
German cousins only understand about 80% of it because it's something
of a private dialect :)
