Here's as minimal of a test case as I can put together that duplicates the
problem. I'm guessing it's a null pointer error in the profiler itself:

require 'profiler'

module Case

module Impl
  module Array
    def ===(obj)
      return false unless ::Array === obj
      zip(obj) { |e,o| return false unless e === o }
      true
    end
  end
end

class Array < ::Array
  include Impl::Array
end

def self.[](*args)
  Array[*args]
end

end

Profiler__::start_profile

Case[:foo] === [:foo]
